If you’re up at 10pm on Friday, you may be interested in watching CNBC’s On The Money. One segment will focus on Social Media Networking and how it has helped my job search.
This is a follow up to the advice Jeff Taylor, founder of Monster.com, and the rest of the CNBC panel gave on the March 6th show.
Should be fun! If you decide to watch, would love to hear what you think.

Hi Raven,
Thanks for the tweet and the message. Bottom line is that my job search is really taking off since I began to focus on social media primarily.
The nature of the CNBC program was to provide a high level overview of job search right now including recruiters, ads, resumes and social media.
I’ve written up the most important details about using social media for IT job search as a guest post for Bas de Baar’s ProjectShrink blog. It will go live tomorrow (4/6/09). My hope is that it will provide encouragement for others on the job market through practical steps.
Thanks and wish you well as always,
Alec
